Sarah Leekya (1930-2017) was the daughter of master carver, Leekya Deyuse. She learned from her dad in her early years and developed her own unique style. Sarah carved this large creamy bird from “fish rock” serpentine several years ago. It was dearly loved and donated to TKF for Zuni Pueblo. Sarah’s birds this size are rare. Always delightful and easily recognized, Sarah’s carvings are a good addition to anyone’s fetish collection. Measures 2 3/4 long, 1 3/4 inches tall, and 1 1/8 inches wide. $200. No Tax.
