What a classic! Pete and Dinah Gasper’s large serpentine frog is one of their fondly collected subjects. Dinah is the granddaughter of Teddy Weahkee and Old Man Acque and the daughter of Edna Leki. This frog is very large (over 3” long) and has all the identifiers of their work. The large offering bundle with the carved arrowhead, the big bulging eyes inlaid with red coral, and the carving of the feet are distinctive. Dinah and her family including Debra Gasper, Elroy and Pete, Jr., Lena Boone, Evalena Boone, Leland Boone, and Daphne Quam are carrying on this very old carving tradition. The frog measures 3+ inches long, 2 in. wide and 1 3/8 inches tall. $165. All proceeds go directly to the Zuni People. Free Shipping in the USA. No Tax.
