Mary Tsikewa (d) was Teddy Weahkee’s (d) daughter and she was married to David Tsikewa (d) 1970. This serpentine bear has been attributed to Mary and is typical of her work. As with this fetish, Mary frequently used serpentine stones and her carvings had expressive faces, with little detail on the body. This adorable bear has a very simple offering on top of a mother of pearl arrowhead, wrapped with sinew. Very traditional. It measures a little over 2 inches long and one inch tall. $180. No Tax.
