A very generous donor to The Keshi Foundation contributed two Cochiti storytellers to us for our website. The funds will go to the work the foundation is presently doing in Zuni. While we are not experts in Rio Grande pottery, we have had help at pricing the pieces from those who are. This female singing storyteller is by Josephine Arquero of Cochiti Pueblo. The storyteller has 10 children attached to her, all very happy and is 11 3/4 inches tall and 7 1/2 inches deep. This is a heartwarming piece. She is very charming, singing to her grandchildren. Josephine is the daughter of the famous Damacia Cordero (1905 - 1989) and was born in 1928. Signed in pencil. $1150. No Tax. Shipping charges will be added, if necessary.
