Eddie Jaramillo, from Zuni Pueblo, carved fetishes in the 80’s and 90’s. Eddie consigned many of his carvings to Keshi, The Zuni Connection, in Santa Fe, when it was a cooperative. In the early years, the shop consisted of only 70 Zuni artists who would place their artwork on consignment. Eddie’s wife, Odell, was one of the teachers involved with the co-op, and so we were blessed with Eddie’s carvings. This large badger was the first one he ever carved, which a teacher bought in the 80’s. Keshi now has over 600 artists and pays the artists immediately and fairly. Carved from a pretty piece of jasper, it measures 3 1/2 inches long and is quite wide at over 2 inches, as a badger should be. Red coral eyes and pretty gold stripes on its left front shoulder make this also the cutest badger ever! $165. No Tax. Free Shipping in the USA.
