Charlotte Poblano Peina is a daughter of the late Leo Poblano, a revered and gifted Zuni carver. She is also a former in-law of the Ben Eustace family and the influences in her jewelry are clearly seen. Fabricated by hand, the silver leaves are classic Ben Eustace. Most leaves now on so-called Native American jewelry are machine made. Ben always made his leaves individually and passed the technique down to his family. Ben, at one time, held the rights to the leaf design. Also hand made are the bezels or silver sleeves that hold the stones. Commercial bezel is much different from bezel "made by hand" and is a detail that knowledgeable collectors look for when purchasing Zuni work. Commercial bezel and leaves are readily available at jewelry supply stores and look and feel very different from hand crafted ones, a helpful tip, important in one's quest to buy authentic pieces. The stones in this bracelet are each individually carved by Charlotte in the traditional Eustace style and are made of gaspeite, gold lip shell, black lip shell, and purple and orange spiny oyster shells. This sterling silver bracelet is a medium sized cuff with a little wriggle room.  $425.  No Tax.  Free Shipping.
